When it comes to learning the art of ball-striking, we asked Korn Ferry player Emilio Gonzalez to share some of his secrets. After all, Gonzalez is a budding star who has four T10 finishes this season on the Korn Ferry Tour — oh, and just qualified for his first-ever U.S. Open.
Since most amateur golfers don't often get to pick the brain of a player of Gonzalez's caliber, the video below is a fun way to see how he uses a PureOne Golf practice club on the driving range to dial in his contact — which, in turn, can help improve your game!

What's Gonzalez's secret to flushing it? As the video shows, he combines the benefits of the PureOne Golf practice club with three alignment sticks to create repeatable reps, allowing him to get the feels he needs with each swing.
Alongside fellow pro golfer Roberto Diaz, Gonzalez explains how he practices on the range.
"One of the most important things is having really solid fundamentals and working on that every day that you have 15-to-20 minutes to hit balls on the range," he says.
To help dial in consistent aim, tempo, and contact, Gonzalez uses three alignments sticks.
"Using one stick that gives you awareness of where the clubface is going to be pointing is great," he adds. "Then I like to use [an alignment stick] for ball position, and I'm very specific to have this on the back of the ball.
"With this third alignment stick, I personally like to put it up in front of the ball, just to have awareness of where I want this ball to start and to be able to aim down my line at my target."
By placing the alignment sticks in a "T" position, Gonzalez says it also helps build a consistent pattern for his setup.
"My coach, Tony Ruggiero, likes the left foot to be used for ball position and the right foot for stance," Gonzalez shares. "This is a smaller clubhead, so it'll be two widths of a PureOne head for ball position, and then my right foot just works to see what my stance width would be — and from there I know I'm set up perfectly square to my target."
So if you're looking to improve your ball-striking skills, incorporate repeatable golf practice like Emilio Gonzalez does. By using the PureOne Golf practice club and some alignment sticks, you'll get instant feedback on each shot.
